We were really struggling financially and didn’t want to go down the same track we had been previously i.e. getting a loan to just pay our bills and keep afloat. We took some time to think about it but eventually gave SARB Properties a call. SARB made us feel in control and gave us light at the end of the tunnel. We thought we might feel strange renting our home back but on the contrary we couldn’t be happier. We tried to re-mortgage to release equity as we owned our house out right, but we found we kept being turned down for not meeting the criteria of the mortgage company as we are now retired. We had money in the house but not really enough to truly enjoy life; we weren’t living the retired life as we had dreamed it would be before we had retired. SARB bought our home and we have a long term rental agreement with them, plus all our maintenance is covered by their national 24hr maintenance team so we have no maintenance worries either. We now have enough cash in the bank to be able to take the holidays and spoil our grandkids like we’ve always wanted to, and we still get to live in our home.
